Abstract

Biophotonics is the new extended branch of photonics, which is the combination of photonics and biology. It is also known as biomedical optics as it has become an important tool for biomedical diagnosis, therapy, monitoring, imaging, and surgery. This branch deals with action of light on biological mattermainly tissue. Three types of laser-tissue interactions are known based on interaction time and active power density.
