Finishing and detailing is one of the most crucial phases during orthodontic treatment as it perfects the occlusion. Finishing procedures are usually considered from the pre-planning phase and involve good diagnosis, appropriate treatment plan, and its implementation. In this stage, the orthodontist reviews a checklist of changes that need to be made to achieve ideal results in the areas of esthetics, occlusion, stability, and periodontal health.
