For India, Rural improvement has been a basic piece of rural financial advancement. In this paper, researcher reviews broadly Government’s initiatives through government schemes and programs to accelerate the process of rural development from the period of 1995 to 2017 respectively and design strategies for rural development. All schemes are aimed to reduce the gap between rural and urban people which would help reduce imbalances and speed up the development process.
