Abstract Background: Vision is an integral part of effective communication and learning. A child’s eyes are always used in the classroom for reading, computer usage and chalkboard work. Therefore, education has increased visual requirements especially in children’s which disturbs their vision. Refractive errors are caused by eyeball length when the eyeball grows too long or too short. Eye exercises relax of eye muscles revitalize the eye muscles and relax the tension of the muscles. Aim: To determine the effectiveness of vision Enhancing Intervention on eye Health among children with Refractive error. Design: A true experimental study conducted on twenty children with refractive error. Methods: Eyestrain level assessed using questionnaire. Visual acuity assessed by Snellen chart, Jaeger’s, and Landolt’ chart and refraction errors were measured by refractometer with the help of optometrist. Vision Enhancing Eye exercises and nutrition supplements were administered. Results: Experimental group showed a significant improvement comparing the eyestrain level visual refraction score before and after the intervention (p<001). Both the experimental and control group post-test mean score showed a significant difference (p<001). Conclusion: Ocular exercises and nutrition supplements used in the study effectively increased eye ball length, improved eye muscle balance, relieved from eye fatigue, accommodation of lens, sharpening of vision reduced the visual acuity and refraction score, among children with refractive error. Keywords: Eye health, eye strain, nutrition supplements, ocular exercise, refractive error, vision enhancing intervention.
