distribution patterns of different subtypes of leukemia needs further study. Aim of our study is to determined
the frequency and distribution of various types of leukemia among the patient coming to sir t hospital and
correlate with age, sex and risk factors from period of May 2018 to April 2020.
Aim: Study of the frequency and distribution of various types of leukemia among the patient coming to Sir
T. hospital Bhavnagar.
Materials and Methods: A retrospective study was done from May 2018 to April 2020. We analyzed the
pattern of leukemia at GMCB by morphological subtype, gender, age at diagnosis, distribution according
to prevalence, risk factors, laboratory parameters and clinical features of leukemia.
Results: Morphological subtyping showed that 56 cases were of acute leukemia and 42 of chronic
leukemia. Acute myeloid leukemia constituted the single largest group comprising (57.2%) of all cases,
followed by chronic myeloid leukemia (42.8%), acute lymphoid leukemia (20.4%) and chronic lymphoid
