Conventional implants cannot be placed in patients with severe atrophied maxilla resulting in insufficient amount of bone remaining for anchorage. Routinely, grafts were the preferred technique. This review aims to address the criteria for placement, surgical and prosthodontics procedure, outcome evaluation and complications arising with zygomatic implants.
