The study discussed equitable education in accordance with SDG 4. Visionary, futuristic leadership is necessary, positioning contemporary school libraries as key drivers of inclusivity. Although they were initially basic resource deposits, the libraries are now equity hubs that promote access to digital tools and multilingual, culturally responsive learning. The chapter creatively explores, comparatively and conceptually, how leaders in different geographical areas, such as Africa, the Gulf, South Asia, Europe and North America, use resources, data, technology and AI-enhanced systems to develop equitable and inclusive library spaces. It links global frameworks (UNESCO, OECD, World Bank) with local practice to show how AI and new technologies redefine literacy, access, and ethics. This chapter introduces a leadership-based model that positions libraries as transformational structures that can help translate the objectives of global equity into actionable change at the school level, informing policymakers, educators and researchers focused on future-ready and inclusive education.
