In pharmaceutical industry the plant are having great importance as a source of drug for therapeutic use purpose as compare to other medication. Cordia dichotoma, a small to moderate size of plant of family Boraginaceae which has been used to studied about Pharmacognostic evaluation to understand the colour, odour, taste, surface, size and shape leaves. The plant part are used for the study was leaves which has an anti-inflammatory activity. They also show antidiabetic, antiulcer activity. The phytochemical screening of leaves shows presence of carbohydrate, glycosides, triterpenoids, amino acids and proteins, and some tannin with phenolic compounds. The study has to be done to confirm the purity in the form of thin layer chromatograph.
