Many indigenous Indian medicinal plants have been found to be successfully used to manage Inflammation and some of them have been tested. However, search for new anti-inflammatory drugs for effective treatment on inflammation. The majority of people on the earth are still depending on their traditional medicines (medicinal plant and other material) for the treatment of different types of diseases. The herbal plant from the tribal region is selected for the study, which is used to make an herbal formulation for the treatment of inflammation. The topical formulation (creams, gels, ointments, pastes, etc) is selected for the present study. In which majorly used formulation for inflammation is Gels. Gel formulation shows proper way to administrate the formulation on the infected area. Present study helps to find how these formulations used as lubricant in various ways. Cordiadichotomais tree of tropical and subtropical regions, commonly known as Lasaura/Lasura. It is widely distributed in the tropical and sub tropicalregions of the world. This plant also having some different pharmacological properties such as antiinflammation, analgesic, antipyretic, antidote, astringent, antiulcer, diuretic, demulcent, emollient, laxative and Mucilagenous have been identified form various parts of plant (leaves, bark, fruits, roots etc). The present review article aims towards medicinal Pharmacological potential, Formulation, Phytochemical profile and other important aspects of C. dichotoma.
