Microbiota within the gut is essential for sustaining human health. Microbialdysbiosis is linked to multiple complications resulting in various illnesses.Epigenetic alterations induced by different environmental and lifestyle factorsresult in heritable changes. These epigenetic alterations consist of DNAmethylation, histone modifications, chromatin remodelling, and RNA-basedmechanisms. This review outlines the effects of environmental factors on the gutmicrobiome, epigenetic modifications, and their involvement in cardiovasculardiseases (PDF) Epigenetic Regulation of Human Gut Microbial Dysbiosis.
