Open airway and bag mask ventilation are considered as important steps in the practice of basic and advanced life supports. The clinical skills in teaching practice have been developed. Beginning from research based teaching guideline was developed to facilitate and improve learning in nurse anesthetist students. Standardized structured checklists consisted of maneuvers and sequential steps in performing open airway and bag mask ventilation were used. The result of the study demonstrated that nurse anesthetist students could manage airway adequately and they could have confidence in patient management. The structured checklist could benefit those who participate in perioperative and emergency patient care by frequent practicing in manikins and simulations. This tool consists of ten items for preparation of the important equipment and five items for management of the airway. Anesthetic personnel need to perform this adequately. In addition, this could teach the non-anesthetic personnel to perform this.
