Abstract

Mandible is the most prominent, largest and strongest bone of facial skeleton which is in direct relation to the base of skull. In majority of cases due to trauma, there is a breakthrough in mandible which often results in mandibular fracture. If there is presence of multiple fracture lines it is the case of comminuted fracture which further results in small pieces in the same area of mandible. Our following case report describes about a 35 year old male patient who met with severe road accident due to head on collision. With the aid of 3D reconstructive CT scan of face revealed comminutedfracture ofanterior mandible along with gross malocclusion. The patient underwent Open reduction and Internal fixation which successfully reduced all communicated bony segments and fixation was achieved with application of miniplates, along with preservation of mental nerves. Satisfactory outcome was achieved from both aesthetic and functional point of view. Keywords: comminuted bony segments, Open Reduction and Internal Fixation, reconstructive CT Scan miniplates.

Abstract

Brain is the most complex organ in vertebrate’s body. This complexity is operated and regulated by different cranial structures present in it. The complexity of relaying information between the brain and different parts of body primarily to and from regions of head and neck including special senses of vision, taste, sense and hearing is conducted by a 12 pair of nerve that emerges directly from the brain known as Cranial Nerves. Sometimes compression on this nerves caused due to vascular structure would lead to develop a serious vascular compression disorder known as Neurovascular compression syndrome. There are several forms of neurovascular decompression syndromes known out of which my article focused on the prominent once, which have no permanent cure of pain relief .I am also introducing my surgical implant named as MOLUMA’S surgical implant which could be an innovation in the field of neurosurgery which could be a cure for several forms of neurovascular compression syndromes and make the patients who are suffering pain free for the rest of their lives. Keywords: Neurovascular, Syndromes, Anticonvulsan.

Abstract

Also known as Suicide disease which affects 150,000 per year. Trigeminal neuralgia is a chronic pain disorder of face characterized by electric shock limited to divisions of one or more divisions of trigeminal nerve. There are two types known one is Typical trigeminal neuralgia (TN1) and other is Atypical trigeminal neuralgia (TN2).TN1 is more severe than TN2 and has sudden shock like pain whereas TN2 has constant burning pain. Treatments include medication such as Anticonvulsants and Surgery has 7 procedures which are used to relief pain for a period of time. Trigeminal neuralgia is also known as Tic dolourex Prospolgia, Fothergill's disease and lastly Suicide disease. Keywords: Neuralgia, Prospolgia, Fothergill's disease.
