Abstract

Rocky mountain spotted fever caused by Rickettsia rickettsii, is a life threatening tick transmitted infection, which is the most prevalent rickettiosis. It remains a diagnostic challenge because of its varied clinical presentation and the overlap of signs and symptoms with other diseases.
