Mohammed Sorowar Uddin Nizami (widely known as Sorowar Nizami) is a Bangladeshi lawyer, legal researcher, social activist, and creative writer who bridges the gap between law and literature. He is best known as the founder, former Executive Director, and Chief Legal Researcher of the Bangladesh Institute of Legal Development (BiLD), a prominent legal research organization. Under his leadership, the BiLD Law Journal achieved the distinction of being the first Scopus-indexed law journal in Bangladesh\'s history. He completed his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London and Master of Laws (LLM) in Commercial Law from Leeds Trinity University of United Kingdom. Mr. Sorowar Nizami practices law actively and holds memberships in the Dhaka Bar Association (DBA), Dhaka Tax Bar Association (DTBA), Labour Court Lawyers Society (LCLS), and the Bangladesh Company Law Practitioners Society (BCLPS). His expertise in Corporate Affairs, Civil Matters, Property Law, Company Law, Tax, VAT and Customs Law is commendable. He serves as an editor for two international legal research journals, including the BiLD Law Journal. Furthermore, Sorowar Nizami has authored several analytical and creative books available on platforms like Rokomari and PBS. Among his books, Law Relating to Power of Attorney, Law in Cinema - Part 1, the Life & Philosophy of law, Kolahol Sheshe, Biplob Dekhte Asini, Esechi Biplobi Hote, Kichu Smriti, Kichu Kotha, and Shunnolota are notable. Sorowar Nizami is recognized as a key behind-the-scenes organizer and promoter who has institutionalized ‘law & literature’ in the country\'s legal and literary circles.
