Dr Mallikarjun Kappi is a College Librarian in the Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Karnataka, currently serving at Government First Grade College in Hospet, India. With an extensive career spanning over 20 years in librarianship and research, he specialises in Information Management, Knowledge Management, Bibliometrics, Scientometrics, and the integration of innovative technologies in library settings. As a prolific researcher and author, Dr Kappi has contributed over 70 research papers to esteemed journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and UGC-CARE, as well as conference proceedings, and has authored six book chapters. His academic contributions include presenting 15 research papers at national and international conferences and delivering numerous invited lectures at conferences and workshops. Dr Kappi is actively affiliated with several professional organisations, including the IATLIS, LIS Academy, and Karnataka State Library Association. His dedication to academic excellence is further evidenced by his roles as an Editorial Board Member for JDSICS, a journal reviewer for Springer, SAGE, etc., and Observer for the National Testing Agency. Additionally, he has undertaken significant administrative responsibilities, serving as chief superintendent and centre head for KEA, KPSC, and other competitive examinations. He has contributed to institutional quality assessment as a member of the NAAC Local Inspection Committee.
