Arnab Kumar Pal

At the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, I was a research scholar in the Department of Civil Engineering. I have completed my graduation from Jadavpur University in the Department of Construction Engineering. Then I have joined Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati to pursue master’s degree in Earth system science and engineering specialization from the department of Civil Engineering. In my master’s degree I have worked on petrophysical properties of sedimentary rock with the help of digital image analysis approach as a part of my thesis work. Soon after completing my post-graduation, I have joined in the same specialization to continue my doctoral studies. My primary research interest is near surface geophysical technique to study the critical zone. Other than that, my research area includes digital rock physics, rock physics modelling, petroleum seepage study and coal bed methane potential study.
