Abstract

Non-surgical periodontal disease therapy has traditionally been performed through a series of sessions by a jaw quadrant or sextant. Reinfection from untreated periodontal pockets, tongue, and tonsils might develop at this time. In contrast, in the full-mouth disinfection (FMD) technique, all teeth's root instrumentation is finished within 24 hours and comprises, Cleaning the tongue and using chlorhexidine on a regular basis.   Keywords: Fullmouth disinfection, Periodontitis, Subgingival microbiota

Abstract

Platelet analogues (PA; platelet rich plasma and platelet rich fibrin) are autologous bioactive compounds that have a wide range of medical and dental applications, including periodontal, maxillofacial, Plastic surgery and sports medicine. The aim of these technologies is to collect all the constituents of a patient's blood sample so that they can be used to promote tissue regeneration and improve healing. Since 1954, PA has come a long way. Periodontology and implant dentistry have both benefited from the use of PAs. However, the non-standard preparation technique, processing time, transfer of concentrates, centrifugation temperature, vibration, etc. are all variables that contribute to the various results described in the literature. This study will retrace the evolution of PAs, their preparation procedures, their clinical and technological characteristics and their uses.   Keywords: Fibrin glue, Leukocyte and platelet fibrin, Platelet concentrates, Plateletderived growth factors, Platelet fibrin, Platelet plasma, Sticky bone.

Abstract

AlbPRF is a blood by-product, without additives, using only autologous blood, which after centrifugation will be produced in two stages: heating and incorporation: heating of the serum and low platelet plasma and incorporation of cells (GF and PRF cytokines liquid, removed from the junction of the leukocyte zone and the red blood cells). This new biomaterial has already been tested in vitro and translational research with this new material has already started. Excellent results can be expected from the use of AlbPRF, not only for oral/periodontal surgery applications but also for use in facial medicine and aesthetics.   Keywords: Aesthetics, AlbPRF, Platelet plasma.

Abstract

This clinical & histopathological report describes the clinical features, mechanism of action on drugs causing drug-induced gingival overgrowth (DIGO), diagnosis and management of patients with arterial hypertension with the regular usage of amlodipine drug. The report also highlights the importance of an involvement of cardiologist and his/her vital role in the management of amlodipine-induced gingival overgrowth. Keywords: Amlodipine, Cardiologist, Clinical & histopathological report, Druginduced gingival overgrowth (DIGO), Arterial hypertension

Abstract

The incidence of penile cancer has been reported to be around 0.005 % in males, with less than 5% of then being sarcomas among all types of penile malignancies Primary penile sarcoma is a rare disease that affects men of all ages. Different subtypes of primary penile sarcoma exist, with the rarest being pleomorphic sarcoma. Only few cases have been reported on pleomorphic sarcoma of penis with undifferentiated type being most commonly reported. No report on high grade pleomorphic sarcoma has been previously reported in the English literature. We report an extremely rare case of undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma of the penis in a 62-year-old patient who initially presented with a recurrent or residual penile lesion. The tumor was surgically excised, but the patient experienced local recurrence and died of metastatic disease 18 months after initial presentation. Keywords: Penile sarcoma penile cancer urogenital sarcoma.

Abstract

Milk is a white liquid nutrient-rich food produced by the mammary glands of mammals. It is the primary source of nutrition for infant mammals (including humans who are breastfed) before they are able to digest other types of food. Early-lactation milk contains colostrum, which carries the mother's antibodies to its young and can reduce the risk of many diseases. It contains many other nutrients including protein and lactose. Interspecies consumption of milk is not uncommon, particularly among humans, many of whom consume the milk of other mammals. As an agricultural product, milk is extracted from farm animals during or soon after pregnancy. Dairy farms produced about 730 million tones milk in 2011, from 260 million dairy cows. India is the world's largest producer of milk, and is the leading exporter of milk powder, yet it exports few other milk products. The ever increasing rise in domestic demand for dairy products and a large demand-supply gap could lead to India being a net importer of dairy products in the future. The United States, India, China and Brazil are the world's largest exporters of milk and milk products. China and Russia were the world's largest importers of milk and milk products until 2016 when both countries became self-sufficient, contributing to a worldwide glut of milk. Keywords: Milk, Protein & Dairy.
