Dentigerous cyst (DC) is an odontogenic cyst that is attached to the cervical region of an unerupted tooth and envelops the crown. It is the most frequently occurring developmental odontogenic cyst. Other odontogenic cysts and tumors exhibit a broad overlap in the clinical and radiographic presentation with DC. Therefore, biopsy plays a key role in resolving the differential diagnosis of DC. Timely intervention can enable the associated teeth to erupt normally, thereby eliminating the need for additional rehabilitation for the patients.
