This study investigated the integration of data governance in teacher training at Eduplanet, emphasizing its potential to enhance educational quality and administrative processes. The main objective was to analyze the implementation of the DAMA model as a strategic framework to strengthen the digital competencies of teaching staff, optimizing both pedagogical effectiveness and administrative efficiency. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, combining statistical analysis of quantitative data obtained through structured questionnaires with qualitative analysis derived from semi-structured interviews conducted with a purposive sample of 12 teachers. The results showed a significant positive correlation between data governance competencies and teaching effectiveness (r=0.98), as well as administrative efficiency (r=0.78), highlighting the cross-cutting impact of these skills. The findings underscore the importance of implementing differentiated training programs to reduce gaps across experience levels and maximize the benefits of data use in education. For Eduplanet, these conclusions reinforce its strategic position as an innovative institution in Ecuador, providing a replicable framework for adopting data-driven practices aligned with international standards.
