The emergence of the covid-19 pandemic has resulted in the onset of mucormycosis in individuals with compromised immune systems leading to maxillary defects. These maxillary defects cause oro-antral communication, which can result in challenges in function, mastication, deglutition, speech impairment, and aesthetic concerns for the affected individual. The prosthodontist plays a crucial role in restoring defects through the use of obturators, which facilitate an oro-antral seal and restore normal functions. This case report outlines the prosthodontic rehabilitation of partial maxillectomy defect by fabrication of conventional cast partial denture with definitive closed hollow bulb obturator. This prosthesis effectively restored the patient's oral function by enhancing masticatory efficiency, speech clarity, and aesthetic appearance. Additionally, the seamless integration of the cast partial framework with surrounding structures, along with the lightweight design of the prosthesis, contributed to its overall acceptability by the patient.
