The decision to involve an anesthesiologist in assistance with sedation is influenced by a variety of factors, including the patient’s health status, the nature of the procedure, and the level of sedation required. Minimal and moderate sedation can often be safely administered by non-anesthetic personnel. However, deeper levels of sedation or higher-risk patients necessitate the expertise of an anesthesiologist. By adhering to established guidelines and considering the individual needs of each patient, healthcare providers can ensure safe and effective sedation practices
