Transformers are one of the most important and expensive equipment in power systems, and in fact, in proportion to their importance, special and unique protection must be applied to them. The right choice of transformer protection can be made with economic considerations in mind. The most important threat to power systems are short-circuit faults, which cause large currents to flow and cause the most severe damage and sudden changes. In such a situation, it is necessary for the power system to always have the best protection against errors, and in order to eliminate them, with the correct and efficient diagnosis and with fast response speed, selectivity, differentiation and high reliability, it eliminates the best possible way. Make a mistake. In this paper, the initial model of the transformer and the short circuit connection of the transformer internal faults for real calculations of differential protection in MATLAB software are simulated and the basis of differential relay work is stated. In the end, valuable results are obtained.
