Introduction ; Early detection or prevention of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is likely to be the most effective as compared with other malignancies. Objectives; To investigate whether Interleukin-6 (IL-6) could serve as informative biomarkers for OSCC in saliva and to determine if there is a role for saliva as a easily available diagnostic medium for OSCC.
